Domino Cars League Cup Final - Centaur 1 v 0 Castlemilk Dynamo
A goal in the first period of extra time was enough for Centaur to secure the Domino Cars League Cup yesterday at Somervell Park. The regulation time of the match had seen both sides fail to show the quality which is associated with their play but Centaur always looked the more likely side to score and they did just that ten minutes into extra time with a header after a long ball into the Dynamo box. The Castlemilk side pressed in the seond period but never really looked like scoring.
The result put paid to Castlemilk's treble hopes but all in they can be delighted with their season after taking the Premier Division title and the Scoreboard Sports Trophy.

Consolation Domino Cars League Cup Final - Govan Harhill 1 v 2 Drumchapel Athletic
Friday evening (30th May) saw an enthralling encounter at Somervell Park as Drumchapel Athletic took the Consolation Domino Cars League Cup. Drumchapel were easily the better team at half time and should perhaps have had more than their one goal half time advantage and it was 2-0 by the time Govan began to show signs of the football which won the the 1st division title. They scored to make it 2-1 with 15 minutes left but Drumchapel held out to take the trophy.
The match was played in great spirit and was a fantastic advert for the Glasgow Sunday AFL as was shown also at the presentation where Govan Harhill were also presented with the league trophy.
Picutres of the match can be seen here.
1st Division champions
Congratulations to Govan Harhill who took the 1st division title last night with a 2-1 win over rivals Morgans ES. Govan were minutes away from a draw which would have seen Morgans crowned and were down to 10 men when they scored a dramatic winner at the end of the match.
Govan Harhill will be promoted to the Premier Division for next season, as will Morgans ES.
Govan Harhill Vs Morgans ES
The 1st Division league decider clash will be played at Lourdes Secondary School, Cardonald on Tuesday (27th) with kick off at 6.30pm. This is sure to be an enthralling encounter so if you have nothing planned get along to see a great game of football.
Big games this week
The final week of the season sees some major matches coming up.
In Division 1, Govan Harhill take on Morgans ES in the title decider this midweek. A point would be good enough for Morgans to win the league with Govan needing all three points to be crowned champions.
Govan Harhill will be in action again on Friday evening at Somervell Park as they face Division 2 side Drumchapel Athletic in what is sure to be a fantastic encounter. The match will kick off at 6.45pm and admission will be £2.50 with under 14s getting in for free.
And finally, the climax of the Glasgow Sunday AFL season will see Premier Division sides Centaur and Castlemilk Dynamo face each other for the second time this season in a final as they contest the final of the Domino Cars League Cup at 2pm on Sunday 1st June. Just a week ago, Dynamo won 2-0 in the final of the Scoreboard Sports Trophy so Centaur will be out to level the scores. Again the game will be at Somervell Park, Cambuslang with admission as above.
Consolation Scoreboard Sports Trophy Final - Morgans ES 0 v 1 Lea-Rig
Lea-Rig retained the Consolation Scoreboard Sports Trophy with a battling win in a tough match with Morgans ES. A goal five minutes from the break was enough to secure the trophy in a match which was played out at a frantic pace but lacked in moments of quality. The match was even throughout with Lea-Rig perhaps having the best of the chances and Morgans' best effort of the first half coming from a 30 yard drive which cleared the bar by around a foot before Lea-Rig's goal.
The second half continued in much the same pattern but with Morgans taking more control. Lea-Rig's keeper was lucky to stay on the park after handling outside of his box but in truth it would have been sad to see him go as he had an outstanding game as did the two Lea-Rig centre halfs.
