Glasgow Sunday Amateur Football League

The Official Website

Welcome

Welcome to the official website of the Glasgow Sunday Amateur Football League. The Glasgow Sunday AFL is affiliated to the Scottish Amateur Football Association and was established in 1978. Since then the league has grown in stature and reputation and we now have a three division structure consisting of a total 32 member clubs.

Season 2008/2009 will see us celebrate 30 years of the league, a magnificent achievement for all who have been involved over the years!

This site is largely here to benefit member clubs but is also a great source of information for visitiors outwith the GSAFL.

Select game

This Friday (15th August) sees the Glasgow Sunday AFL Select take on a select side from the Airdrie & Coatbridge AFL. The match will take place at Somervell Park, Cambuslang with kick off at 7.00pm. Entry is £2.50 for adults and is free for kids. All proceeds go to the Open Doors charity which works with cancer patients. The Glasgow Sunday AFL would like to ask all fans, players, management & readers of the website to get along on Friday and help hit the target of £1000.00

The game is sure to be worth it with the cream from two leagues coming together!

Player registrations

Last night's registration meeting was something of a disaster as very few teams managed to get the photographs part of the registration system correct, so we have come up with an "Idiot's Guide" to show exactly what is required. Some basic computer knowledge is required in any case so we recommend a member of the club with a good understanding of this be put in charge of the photograph side of registrations.
